Yes! Our Ready To Ship wigs are processed and delivered to UK residents usually within 1-2 days if ordered on a Monday-Thursday. If ordered on a Friday – Sunday, orders are expected to arrive within 3 business days. For international orders, delivery takes up to 10 days (not including possible customs delays).

Our customised wigs, frontals and bundles take up to 15 business days to be processed and delivered to UK residents and 20 business days for international residents.

Please check the delivery information for each product as delivery times may vary.

The following process is carried out for every CUSTOM wig order:

1. After placing your custom order online, on the following day, hair materials are ordered from our international supplier.

2. Materials are shipped to us and this can take up to 2 weeks.

3. Your custom wig is then created. This can take 1-3 business days depending on the customisations you selected.

4. Custom wigs are then shipped the following day. This takes 1 business day for UK addresses, subject to no delays of course. The shipping services used will be either Royal Mail or DPD for UK residents. For international residents shipping services used vary between UPS, Fedex, TNT, Parcel Force or Royal Mail. These services may take anywhere between 2-10 business days.

Overall, orders for UK customer take up to 15 business days and up to 20 business days for international customers. We try our best to get your custom wigs shipped out to you as fast as we can but please use this time-frame as a guideline when purchasing custom orders as it allows for delays which are out of our control.

If you know you need a CUSTOM wig the following month, please order as soon as possible and consider the above timeline.

All delivery depends on the item ordered. Please check the delivery information detailed in the product information before purchasing.

Usually for ready to ship wig orders, delivery is 1-2 business days if you live in UK and order before 8pm on a Monday – Wednesday or 1-3 business days if you order before 8pm Thursday-Sunday. Ready To ship orders usually deliver within 10 business days if you live internationally (does not include possible customs delays).

For custom wigs, Frontals/ closures and bundles, delivery is up to 15 business days if you live in UK and up to 20 business days if you live internationally (does not include possible customs delays).

For all other accessories delivery takes 3-5 business days if you live in UK and 5-10 business days if you live internationally (does not include possible customs delays).

You will receive an email from us when your item has been sent for delivery.

Wash day:

 If you wear your wig everyday, wash it every 2-4 weeks for the best results.

On black/natural coloured hair use Sulphate-free shampoo as it is less harsh on the hair and helps retain moisture. We suggest the Lux Care Shampoo.  For blonde wigs or wigs with highlights, we love the Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo as it brings back vibrancy and shine to the hair.

Saturate your wig with a super-nourishing conditioner. This step is crucial and helps bring your wig back to life! Our favourite conditoner at the moment is the Lux Care Conditioner.

Detangle the wig using your fingers or the Lux wide-tooth comb. Do this in manageable sections.   

Wash out conditioner with luke warm/ cold water to lock in moisture from the conditioner. 

Do not use the hair dryer on your human hair wigs WITHOUT heat protectant spray. The Lux Heat Protectant Spray not only protects your wigs and adds shine – it also smells amazing! However, if you have the time, let your wig dry naturally! This is the most gentle method. Also when air-dried the natural pattern of the wig will reveal itself.

After every wash, turn your wig inside out and seal the knots of your wig. This will help prevent shedding! We suggest using the Walker Top-Loc Knot Sealer. It is highly flammable so leave to air dry between each layer.

Everyday Styling:

Do not use a bristle brush or fine tooth comb to comb your human hair wig. Always start with the Lux wide tooth comb to detangle your wigs and then follow up with the Lux Bling Brush. Remember, you should comb your human hair wig from the ends and comb your way up. Be gentle on the knots to avoid shedding!

Use Mousse to help define waves/ curls and to lay down flyaway hairs. We recommend the Lux Melt Mousse because it smells AMAZING!

Use a heat protectant spray (preferably in the form of a mist) before applying any heat to your whole wig. A mist formula is best because it doesn’t weigh down the hair or make it look greasy/ oily. One of my favorites is the Lux Heat Protectant Spray For that slick down, flat look, especially in your parting area we suggest using the Lux Melt Wax Stick and then the Lux Hot Comb!

Wrap a Lux Hair Bonnet on your head while sleeping, so that any hair breakage or shedding of your wigs may be prevented.

 

• Life-span: Synthetic Wigs can last anywhere between 3 months to 2 years. This all depends on how often you wear this wig and how well you take care of it.
• How often to wash your synthetic wig: It is recommended you wash your synthetic wigs after every 6-8 wears.
• How to shampoo your synthetic wig: Add some shampoo to a bowl of cold water and mix around. Dip your wig in this mixture for about 1 minute. DO NOT rub the hair as this will cause tangling. You can rub inside the cap area with your hand to get rid of any oils/ dirt. Rinse the wig out under running cold water.
• How to condition your synthetic wig: Make sure your wig is wet before conditioning. Add some conditioner to hands and gently work it through the wig. Use our wide-tooth comb and lux denman brush for the best results. Keep all conditioner away from the cap as this can cause loosening of hand-tied wefts which will result in hair loss. 
• How to dry your synthetic wig: Always leave to dry naturally. Do not blowdry.you can blot excess water with a towel. 

1. Only detangle your curly hair when it is completely wet because it becomes softer and more elastic when wet. This makes it much easier to glide through and detangle the knots. To make the process of detangling even easier, lather the hair in the Lux Care conditioner as well. 

2. When detangling, use the Lux wide tooth comb to come out the big knots and then the Lux denman brush to detangle all the small knots. Brush and detangle from the ends of your hair upwards towards the roots.  Slowly work through the hair section by section. When washing out conditioner always use cold/lukewarm water. This helps to close the hair cuticles and lock in moisture.

3. Now if you wish to add softness and define your curls even more after washing, apply a few drops of the Lux Care Serum, Lux Heat Protectant Spray and a few pumps of Lux Melt Mousse. These help define the curls and sets them.

4. Let your curly wig air-dry for the most natural curly results.

5. On the odd day, when you want to keep your curls defined and get rid of the appearance of frizz, use a frizz-free curl mousse like the Lux Melt Mousse mixed with a few drops of the Lux Care Serum.

Storing your wig away is so easy and helps prolong the life of your Lux Beauty Essentials Wig!

For wigs that you wear often it is best to store away your wig on a mannequin head. This can be either a polystyrene or canvas head.

For wigs you dont wear often, you can store them away in a sturdy container or in the original packaging we provide when we ship your wigs to you! Make sure that your wigs are clean before storing away long-term!

It is advised to not sleep in your wig or if you do to use a silk bonnet/ head wrap so the hair isn’t left to tangle whilst you’re sleeping.

Follow these tips on storing your wig away in order to prolong the life of your wigs!

Follow the below steps for the best silky-straight look on your Wigs!

1. Make sure the hair on your wig is clean and completely dry. We suggest air drying your wig for best results. For a deep clean that adds moisture to your wig, the Lux Care Shampoo and Conditioner is a must have!

2. Part your wig into manageable sections. For frontal or closure wigs, part away the lace piece first (i.e. closure or frontal). This section will be done last! Section the rest of the hair into 2-4 parts. For full lace wigs, just part into 4 sections. For crisp partings, the Lux Precision Comb is essential!

3. To add protection to your wigs and shine you will need to add some heat protectant spray and serum on the first section of hair. For nourishing results, we suggest the new Lux Care Serum and Heat Protectant Spray. These serums are very light-weight so do not weigh down the hair but at the same time adds shine to the hair.

4. Now within the section you’re working on, take a 1cm row, comb out that small section and then straighten that section with your Lux straighteners. Go slowly. You should only need to pass over the hair once with your straighteners, especially if your wig is relatively new. Do this repeatedly throughout each section. Now you should have that silky-straight look!

5. If you want to set your wig and make it super flat near the parting, add a few pumps of mousse on the hair, comb and brush through until flat enough. Our favourite go-to mousse is the Lux Melt Mousse. An alternative method to this would be to use the Lux Melt Wax Stick and Hot comb the hair area until flat. If you plan to install the wig, tie it down with a Lux Melt Band for at least 10 minutes. After setting, add a few sprays of the Lux Heat Protectant Spray for added shine and softness.

There are 2 ways to install a wig:

The Glueless Install Method:

This method involves securing your wig to your head without the need for adhesive. This can be achieved with the black adjustable strap and hair combs that come inside of every Lux Beauty Essentials Wig. The Glued Down Install Method:

This method involves using some sort of adhesive to secure your wig. The most popular product for a glued down install is the Lux Melt Lace Glue which provides a secure hold for up to 3 weeks. For the best hold, it is advised to use 4 layers. After adding your layers of glue, it is recommended to use a Lux Melt Band to ensure your lace gets the ultimate MELT! If you are a beginner with wigs it is imperative you do your own research on handling, maintaining, installing and styling wigs so you are aware of what to do when the wig arrives. This will also help prolong the longevity of your wig(s).

IMPORTANT: If you are not confident with installing a wig by yourself please contact a professional hairstylist before making your purchase. Also please consider the following before trying your new ready to ship wig:

Please DO NOT add any styling products or alter a ready to ship wig in any way unless you are 100% sure you want to keep the wig. This includes adding makeup to the lace, washing the wig, cutting the hair or lace, dying the wig, perming the wig, or anything of that sort which changes the original condition of the wig.

Please also DO NOT CUT THE LACE on the ready to ship wig unless you are 100% sure you want to keep the wig. By removing the lace from the wig, the wig has now been altered and the hygienic integrity has been compromised. Under that basis the goods can no longer be returned.

Now if you are sure you want to keep your new wig, please follow the below instructions for a smooth install!

Put the wig on by placing the adjustable elastic band on your nape and tucking in the combs on the wig. For a loser fitting wig, loosen or totally unhook the adjustable band straps inside the unit. For more guidance on how to secure your wig gluelessly check out this video on our Youtube Channel.

Cut the lace on the front of the wig (and the back if it is a Full Lace Wig). Do this whilst it is on your head so you can mimic your hairline. Cut the lace in a zig-zag motion and as close as possible to the hairline of the wig. We would recommend the Lux Scissors because they are sharp and small so allows you to get as close you want to the hairline on your wigs with the upmost control!

Orders containing wigs will come in our luxury satin bag and our signature pink gift box!

If you have purchased a ready to ship wig, did not request bleached knots on it and the wig is still in its original condition like when you first received it, you can request a refund by contacting us within 14 days after receiving by completing the following refund form: https://luxbeautyessentials.com/refund-form/

For a full refund, you must not have requested bleached knots on this ready to ship wig, the lace must not be removed and still on the wig and the hair must not have been altered in anyway (dyed, permed, coloured, cut, products added, etc.).

The above does not apply to customised wigs. All sales for customised wigs are FINAL, unless the wig is faulty and in that case you must reach out to us within 48 hours by emailing us luxbeautyessentials@gmail.com

Under no circumstances will we accept a refund for a customised wig because you have changed your mind and decided you no longer it. As a reminder all customised wigs are customised to your requirements so you need to be SURE you want a customised wig before ordering. Also if you are unsure about how to style a wig, we recommend consulting a professional hairstylist BEFORE purchasing so they can assist you with the install.

Only the following can be returned to us:

Ready to Ship Wigs, Bundles, Frontals and hair products/accessories that have not be used can be returned to us. As long as you did not request bleached knots for your ready to ship wig and the lace has not been cut, it can be returned. They need to be in their original packaging upon returning. Please make sure all items are returned back in their original state. Returning a Ready to ship wig will be at your expense.

Customised Wigs and Lash Extensions cannot be returned because of hygiene purposes and their customisation. This rule also applies if you choose the wrong wig size and/or colour. All customised wigs and Lash Extensions orders are FINAL.

As our customised wigs are custom-made and tailored to your specifications, they cannot be refunded under any circumstances. ONLY Faulty wigs can be repaired by us or in extreme cases replaced. We class faulty wigs as a wig with a big chunk of hair missing or with a large tear in the lace/ wig cap. An extreme case would be receiving a completely different wig (i.e. you ordered a blonde wig and received a black wig). If you do receive a faulty wig, please let us know within 48 hours of receiving your item so we can sort the issue as soon as possible. We will not be able to resolve any faulty wigs after 48 hours. We do make it PRIORITY to check every single wig thoroughly before shipping to you. We also take numerous pictures and videos of every wig before shipping so we will know if the wig has been tampered with after leaving us.

We sell all types of wigs: Closure wigs, Frontal wigs and Full Lace wigs. All our wigs are glueless which means you can secure your wig with the combs and elastic band inside of the wig. You will not need any type of adhesive to make your wig stay on your head. Glueless wigs are a great alternative to normal wigs that require adhesive because they are easy to put on and take off. You also have the option of gluing down your wigs if you like.

Our Most popular Lace is the Invisible Lace. This lace is the thinnest type of lace currently available in the hair extensions market. This lace is so popular right now because it is thinner than the regular swiss lace and so looks a lot more natural when blended with your skin. We provide this lace in the form of 13×6 and 13×4 Frontals, 4×4 and 5×5 Closures.

Our Full Lace wigs are made with Transparent Swiss Lace. This lace is just as stretchy as the Invisible Lace but a little bit thicker. If melted correctly, the lace becomes invisible. This lace is in a Transparent shade which means it has a translucent effect once melted into the skin. For a more flawless finish, you can tint this lace to make it match your skin tone. We would recommend the Lux Lace Tint Spray.

Please remember, the longer the wig, the thinner it will appear. Single drawn bundles are naturally fuller at the wefts and thinner at the ends. Double drawn bundles are naturally the same thickness from wefts to ends.

For a wig that is full from root to ends, please consider purchasing your wig with double drawn bundles (200% density).

130% density is considered a natural size wig made with single drawn bundles. For example on a 16 inch wig, this would be equivalent to a frontal wig made with 2 bundles. For a longer wig of 24 inches, this would be equivalent to a frontal wig made with 2.5 bundles. This is the ideal wig for those who want a super light and very natural looking wig.

150% density is considered a semi-full thick wig made with single drawn bundles. For example on a 16 inch wig, this would be equivalent to a frontal wig made with 2.5 bundles. For a longer wig of 24 inches, this would be equivalent to a frontal wig made with 3.5 bundles. This is the ideal wig for beginners.

180% density is considered a very Full wig made with single drawn bundles. For example on a 16 inch wig, this would be equivalent to a frontal wig made with 3.5 bundles. For a longer wig of 24 inches, this would be equivalent to a frontal wig made with 4.5 bundles. This is the ideal wig for those who want a full looking wig.

200% density is considered a very full wig with super full ends. This wig is made with double drawn bundles. This wig will be same thickness as 180% but with very full ends. This type of wig requires more care compared to single drawn bundles because of its thickness. The longer the wig, the more hair will be on your wig and so the more you will need to detangle it. Brushing it once or twice a day and gently running your fingers through the hair is sufficient enough. DO NOT PULL ON the hair too often as this can cause increased shedding. Use a wide tooth comb to detangle first and then follow up with a Denman brush. This is the ideal wig for those who want a super full wig and are aware of how to take care of thick wigs.

When strands of hair are ventilated on the ‘lace’ part of the wig, a knot is created to keep the hair strands in place. The darker the hair colour and the knot colour, the more visible the knot will be. These knots look similar to tiny ‘seeds’. Bleaching knots is mostly preformed on wigs that are made with dark-coloured hair strands. These knots can sometimes look unnatural. Bleaching the knots helps make these knots look less visible.

The process of bleaching the knots involves adding a lightener to the knots in order to make them look blonde and therefore less visible.

Bleaching the knots can in some cases cause breakage or shedding from the lace. However, with proper care (not over brushing or tugging the hair from the lace) this is totally preventable. But it is advised to replace your frontal/ closure every 6-months/ year especially if you wear your wig daily!

Bleaching the knots is totally optional. Some clients do not mind the dark knots showing on the lace. Some other clients have found that foundation works well to cover the knots.
